As most of you already know, our Govorner Jerry Brown has signed SB 48. This bill "[prohibits] discriminatory instruction and materials against certain categories of people from being adopted by the State Board of Education." These "certain peoples" are gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders. In other words, these legislators are going to make up history, and include these materials in non-opt out history classes! Such lies would include that George Washington, a devout Christian and a founding father of this country, actually had a gay side to him! This is lunchmeat!!! There is no possible evidence to support this idea! In order to postpone the action of this bill until another vote is taken, we must collect 550,000 petition signatures. PLEASE go to http://www.stopsb48.com/, and print out the petition or just sign it right there on the webpage.

I agree that SB48 is appalling! I pray that many more people feel the same! FYI, The petition has to be printed out and sent in.

ReplyDeleteMost Christians treat issues like this as lunchmeat. They don't want to know what is in it.
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher in the People's Republik of Kalifornia, I will be doing more than feeling your pain. Right now the approach is curriculum on bullying and they will be gradually putting in the homosexual element. It will be done in the "frog in warming water" method. I am still not sure how I am going to deal with it but I tell my wife to find out I have been fired some day.
Pray for the faithful remnant that is still in our school systems. By that I don't mean all the teachers that claim to be Christian, but the ones that are not afraid to talk about God at school.
